They provide comprehensive, holistic rehabilitation care through dedicated interdisciplinary teams, which includes but are not limited to: physiatrists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, prosthetists, social workers, case managers, nurses, psychologists, and recreation therapists. The RACs serve as a resource for other VA medical facilities through the development of telerehabilitation for consultation, models of care, best practices, educational programs and the evaluation of new technology.
